Happy Hanukkah

As a Jew in America, it is hard to compete with the Christmas whirlwind, especially when you have children. I'll admit that in my mixed family we celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. (In my defense, I don't "do" Christmas at my house. We go to Christmas at Ada's grandparents' house.)

Good thing the girls have my back:

  1. Oh not again (Comment eaten). I'm definitely losing faith in Firefox on Mac. Or blogging sites on Firefox. Anyway, educational video.

  2. Copied the link and sent it to most of my extended family. My sister and I (raised as good small town Catholic) girls have BOTH urban Jewish men. We do our best to reflect both cultures in my house. The result: my five year old thinks he should get a present for each night of Chanukah and presents on Christmas Eve (as the French Canadians do) and Santa on Christmas morning.
