Apparently other people have shoe problems too

All day he'd felt something was not quite right, but assumed that his sock was bunched up in a weird way. Didn't bother to take his shoe off and check, mind you. Just tugged at the sock and suffered through.

He got home and took off his shoes. Looking down, he noticed something in the right one. A coaster, which he'd walked around on. All. Day.

  3. Hmm, have you checked your shoe? Sometimes that can be the root of the problem (giggling included).

  5. What? A coaster? As in something you put underneath a glass on a table? In a shoe? I'm so confused. How does one accomplish that- the walking around all day part? Wow.

  6. That's right, laugh it up everyone. Look at the foolish papa. Ha ha.

Yes, a coaster for putting your drink on - made of thick paper, so it's flexible enough that I didn't notice it right away. Plus, I think Miss A. had been chewing on it a while, so it was a little soggy.

The thing that really gets me though is that when I got home and took off my shoe, did the girl so much as crack a smile at the clever little prank she had played on her pops? Maybe give a little giggle to acknowledge the joke? No she did not. She carried on as if she had simply dropped it in my shoe accidentally. "Oh there it is, I've been looking all over for that coaster.''

Watch out, little girl. You'll get yours.

  7. Well, John and I had a good laugh (at your expense, but hey...you walked around on a COASTER all day).

That would be reason #112 for only wearing sandals.
