...is what Ada would be if she had a sibling.
Groan-inducing pun aside, Ada is really into pointing these days. It seems to be some combination of "ooh, look at that!" and "I want that" that motivates her jab-fest. We took a walk to our local grocery, etc. store (for garden annuals, 20 gauge wire, organic zuchini and pineapple) and she was Pointy Patty all the way.

Hey, I think I've seen that sweater on her before and asked this already, but I 'm not sure I remember the answer.. That sweater looks hand knit- is it?
ReplyDeleteMy little one George is doing the pointing thing too. He points and says, "Wassis?"
So cute.
I love the pointing finger.
I love the pointy finger too. It's like they finally realize the world around them.
ReplyDeleteQ used to say "unt" and point...
Hee. cute pics!
ReplyDeleteHailey does that but she points with her middle finger. One day she's going to get me shot.
Krista: yes, the sweater was knit by her grandmother.
ReplyDeleteAh, "Whassis?" is commonly heard in my home as well. Major payoff moment today when I was strolling M in Sears and she was pointing and shouting "Socks! Shoes! Bags!" as we sped by the respective departments ...
ReplyDeleteI too have a pointy patty in the house these days. never sure if she wants something or jsut likes pointing. And driving me nuts.
ReplyDeleteOh lookie, the baby likes that. And that. Oh and over there that too. Extreme cuteness!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with the pointing?!?
ReplyDeleteAnd how come something that isn't charming at all when an adult does it is so supercute when a wee one does it? And it really IS supercute.
My little niece is all into the pointing right now, too. It's funny, because I don't remember when the squeaker stopped. Wish I could bottle up all those cute moments to enjoy in the future...
Our daughter is pointing nonstop also. Unfortunately, this means that I spend a lot of time running around our apartment trying to find what exactly she's pointing at. Now, I just think she's pointing at her idiot father who keeps running around all over the place!
ReplyDeleteOh Miss A does the same thing. we had her over at a friends house the other day and they said she rearranged the whole living room by the time we got back. she would point to different items and then point to a different place in the room. they were quite entertained.
ReplyDeletei hope your birthday party for Ada went well on saturday. i thought of you when we were having ours for Miss A.
hee! we've got the same pointing propensity happening with our boylet. it's very silly and sweet. he's simultaneously smitten with handing pieces of food to us; I kind of think it's a result of having been fed by us for so long; now he's exherting his ability to feed back. cute.
ReplyDeletep.s. that Ada, with the cake for her birthday. oy. but the punim. goodness. that's dictionary cute.
